Phaius tankervilleae – LADY TANKERVILLE’S SWAMP ORCHID

Endangered terrestrial orchid forming large clumps, found in swampy grasslands, euc & paperbark forests & rainforest. Large pleated leaves, flower stems to 2m, showy flowers white on outside and brown with pale veins on inside, mauve & yellow tongue. Q’ld (now extinct in N.NSW).
