Phaius australis – SOUTHERN SWAMP ORCHID

Endangered terrestrial orchid forming large clumps, mainly in wet sites & soakage areas.  Flower spikes to 1.2m, large scented flowers white on outside & showy red brown centres with yellow veins. Shade loving species, needs warm humid conditions. SE.Q’ld – NE.NSW.
